Audio 1 - Task 2
DIALOGUE 1
Lily: Good morning! I need to go to 45th Street, near the Central Park entrance.
Tom: 45th Street near Central Park? Do you mean the west or east entrance?
Lily: Oh, good question. The east entrance, please.
Tom: Got it. Let me check… that’s near the museum, right?
Lily: Yes, exactly!
Tom: Alright. I’ll take Main Avenue, then turn left on 6th Street. Does that work for you?
Lily: Yes, that sounds good. Thanks!
DIALOGUE 2
Sarah: Are you sure this is the right place?
Mario: I think so… but let me check Google Maps.
Sarah: It’s the big glass building on the left.
Mario: Should I drop you off at the main entrance?
Sarah: Actually, could you drop me off at the side entrance instead?
Mario: Just to confirm, the entrance next to the café?
Sarah: Yes, exactly!
DIALOGUE 3
Mia: Hi, we’re heading to the Grand Hotel. Could you help us with the best route?
Noah: Of course! The quickest way is straight through Main Avenue, but there’s usually traffic this time of day.
Mia: I follow you. Well, the map says it’s the shortest way, but it looks crowded.
Noah: Well, I can definitely suggest another route.
Mia: Are you suggesting taking a longer but less crowded route?
Noah: Yes, that might be a good idea. You can take Queens Lane to avoid traffic and then turn left onto Hill Street.
Mia: That makes sense. Thanks for your help!
DIALOGUE 4
Charlotte: Hi! Can we go to Maple Avenue? It’s near the stadium.
Alexander: Maple Avenue near the stadium. Got it! Do you have a specific address?
Charlotte: Yes, 120 Maple Avenue.
Alexander: Okay. I’ll go straight on King Street, then turn left at the stadium. Just to clarify, that’s near the west entrance of the stadium, right?
Charlotte: Yes, exactly.
Alexander: OK, I see what you mean.
DIALOGUE 5
Harper: Hi! We need a taxi to the Grand Hotel, but we’re not sure about the exact location. Could you help us?
Jack: Of course! There are actually two Grand Hotels in the city. Do you mean the one on Green Street or the one near the shopping mall?
Harper: Let me check… (looks at phone) It says Green Street. That’s correct, isn’t it?
Jack: Wait, did you say Green Street? The Grand Hotel next to the big shopping mall is on River Road.
Harper: Oh! I was going to send the taxi to the wrong place. Thanks for checking for me!
Jack: No problem! I’ll call the taxi for you now.
DIALOGUE 6
Lucas: Could you take me to Westwood Café on Park Street?
Violet: Park Street… Sorry, could you repeat the name of the café?
Lucas: Sure! It’s called Westwood Café.
Violet: Thanks! It’s the one across from the small bookstore, right?
Lucas: Yes, that’s the one!
Violet: Alright. I’ll take Summertown Road and turn right onto Park Street. Is it OK if I stop in front of the bookstore, and you cross the street?
Lucas: Sure, thanks for checking!

Audio 2 - Task 4
That makes sense. Thanks for explaining. (falling)
I see what you mean. The road is too busy. (falling)
Sorry, could you repeat the address? (rising)
That sounds good. Let’s do that. (falling)
Let me check, that’s near the train station, right? (rising)
Does that work for you, or do you prefer another way? (rising)
Are you suggesting we take a different street? (rising)
