No matter how hard things get, just remember that you have made it through

difficult times before and you can do it again.

A expressão deste post é daquelas que parecem simples na Língua Inglesa, mas carregam muito mais significado do que aparentam: make it through.
Sabe quando você passa por uma situação difícil, aguenta firme e chega do outro lado? Ou quando consegue terminar algo mesmo estando cansado, sem energia, quase desistindo? Pois é… essa expressão entra exatamente nesses momentos. Aqui você vai entender o significado real, ver como ela aparece no Inglês do dia a dia e, claro, treinar com áudio para não só entender, mas usar de verdade.

• It was a very difficult year, but we made it through together and came out stronger on the other side. (Foi um ano muito difícil, mas conseguimos superar juntos e saímos mais fortes do outro lado.)
• She wasn’t sure she would make it through the surgery, but the doctors did an excellent job and she recovered well. (Ela não tinha certeza se conseguiria superar a cirurgia, mas os médicos fizeram um excelente trabalho e ela se recuperou bem.)
• I don’t know how I made it through that presentation; my hands were shaking the entire time. (Não sei como consegui aguentar aquela apresentação; minhas mãos estavam tremendo o tempo todo.)
• The first year of university is always the hardest, but most students make it through if they stay focused. (O primeiro ano da universidade é sempre o mais difícil, mas a maioria dos alunos consegue superar se permanecer focada.)

• He was so bored during the lecture that he wasn’t sure he would make it through the remaining two hours without falling asleep. (Ele estava tão entediado durante a aula que não tinha certeza se conseguiria aguentar as duas horas restantes sem adormecer.)
• The patient made it through the night, which was the most critical period according to the doctors. (O paciente conseguiu passar pela noite, que era o período mais crítico segundo os médicos.)
• With a little patience and a lot of determination, you will make it through this difficult phase of your life. (Com um pouco de paciência e muita determinação, você vai conseguir superar essa fase difícil da sua vida.)
