AUDIO TRANSCRIPT

Anna: Hey Jake, do you always listen to music while you study?
Jake: Yeah, pretty much! I can’t concentrate in complete silence. Music helps me focus. What about you?
Anna: Hmm… it depends. If it has lyrics, I get distracted. But I love listening to classical or lo-fi music when I read.
Jake: Oh yeah, lo-fi beats are great for studying. But when I’m just relaxing, I prefer pop or indie music. What kind of music do you usually listen to?
Anna: Honestly, I listen to a bit of everything. But if I had to choose, I’d say rock and R&B. I grew up listening to my dad’s old rock albums, so I still love bands like Queen and The Rolling Stones.
Jake: Nice! I like classic rock too. But lately, I’ve been really into hip-hop. The beats and lyrics are so creative.
Anna: Do you have a favorite artist?
Jake: Hmm… I’d say Kendrick Lamar. His storytelling is amazing. What about you?
Anna: I really love Adele. Her voice is incredible, and her songs are so emotional.
Jake: Yeah, she’s got a powerful voice! Speaking of music, do you play any instruments?
Anna: I used to play the piano when I was younger, but I stopped. I wish I had kept going.
Jake: You should get back into it! I play the guitar, and it’s such a great way to relax. Plus, it’s fun to play songs for friends.
Anna: That’s so cool! I’d love to learn guitar. It seems more versatile than the piano.
Jake: It is, but every instrument has its own charm. My cousin plays the violin, and it sounds amazing.
Anna: True! By the way, how do you usually listen to music? Do you use streaming apps?
Jake: Yeah, I mostly use Spotify. It’s super easy – I can just search for a song and play it anywhere.
Anna: Same here! I love making playlists for different moods. Do you prefer listening to headphones or speakers?
Jake: Headphones for sure! The sound is clearer, and I can listen anywhere – on the bus, while jogging, wherever.
Anna: I agree! But sometimes, I like playing music on a speaker when I’m at home. It fills the whole room.
Jake: Oh, definitely. Especially at parties!
Anna: Yeah! Speaking of live music, have you been to any concerts recently?
Jake: Not recently, but I went to a Coldplay concert last year. It was incredible – the energy, the lights, the crowd singing along… totally different from just listening on my phone.
Anna: Wow, I’d love to see them live! There’s something special about concerts. Even if you love a song, hearing it live feels completely different.
Jake: Exactly! That’s why I think live music is better than recorded music. What about you?
Anna: Hmm… I love live concerts, but I think recorded music is better for everyday life. You can listen whenever you want, without crowds or loud noise.
Jake: That’s true. But either way, music is such a big part of life. I can’t imagine a day without it!
Anna: Same here. Speaking of which, I need some new music recommendations. Do you have any for me?
Jake: Of course! I’ll send you a playlist.
Anna: Perfect! Let’s listen now!
