Level: Pre-intermediate (A2-B1)
Type of language: Business English
Tags: Business People; Future; Grammar Practice; 16-18 Years Old; 18+ Years Old
Publication date: 03/02/2023
This lesson focuses on future tenses in a business context. It is designed for students who have already been introduced to them, but gives them an opportunity to focus on accuracy and think about why each one is used in a particular situation. Exercises contrast the tenses, look at error correction and provide an opportunity for students to talk about a personal experience. (by Joe Wilson)

AUDIO TRANSCRIPT
Speaker: Hi Michael, I’m meeting Claire at 2pm this afternoon, do you want to join us? Rebecca is coming too and we’re all going to discuss the plans for the conference next week. We’re getting together in the café across the street because it will mean we can eat and talk without disturbing anyone. I think Rebecca is going to bring the presentation she’s been working on, so we’ll be looking at that. If you’re going to meet us, can you bring your laptop? You should also bring an umbrella because I think it’s going to rain. Tomorrow, we’re going to meet Alex if he’s around to talk about our plans, so if you can’t make it today, we can meet tomorrow.
