This video-based lesson shows five different Christmas treats that can be made easily at home using baked goods and candy from the supermarket (note that the video has no voice-over). The lesson includes vocabulary development and practice in speaking, as well as a reading and writing activity which reviews the use of pronouns - it is assumed students have already encountered this language point. Students react to the material by responding to some discussion questions and then move on to design and present a new idea for a holiday treat. There is also a short optional reading activity related to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (by Stephanie Hirschman).
