Spark your young learners’ creativity with this lesson about Christmas in the UK. They will make a colorful cracker and learn a traditional Christmas carol while practicing all four core skills.

Time needed: Approx. two one-hour classes for the three activities.
Main skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Materials needed: Colored paper (A4); cardboard tube (10cm); string; squares, circles and stars for decoration; glue/sticky tape.
Objectives – Students will:
- learn about Christmas in Britain;
- learn Christmas vocabulary;
- practice following instructions;
- create a Christmas cracker;
- revise and remember grammar rules through song.
