In this lesson, students develop their conversational skills by talking about interesting facts. To personalize and introduce the topic the students discuss some general questions. They then make predictions about a set of facts, identify new vocabulary, and develop their listening skills by hearing about each fact. They then focus on the use of a selection of question words and practice the language in a variety of student-centered tasks. To consolidate the language, the students take part in a group communicative task to practice asking about facts. The lesson finishes with a speaking game to review all the lesson content.
