Students define vocabulary and briefly discuss opinions about food choices before reading an essay (or composition) about organic food. They identify some of the key grammatical structures before considering what features make an essay successful, especially if it is written for an exam. They then gain some practice in using these features before planning and writing an essay of their own. There is also a short optional speaking activity related to food memories.
