VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Speaker: Welcome to Flinkeblunk! Let’s meet some animals that live in our forests. Look, a squirrel! So quick. Where are you going? Is that your home? So the nest in the corner there is a drey? That’s where squirrels live! Have you ever seen a drey? Look out for them! What did you get out of there? A nut? Don’t play with your food. Squirrels love to eat nuts, seeds and berries. Mmm, that looks yummy! Like forest muesli, right? Enjoy!
Look there are wild boars in the forest! Have you ever spotted one from afar? They’re quite big and they grunt funnily but they can be a little dangerous. Usually, they live in the forest with their family, they’re sounder. When they go to bed, they make a pit in the ground. Snuggly! Yuck! Wild boars like to eat almost everything: roots, herbs, acorns, mushrooms but also slugs and mice. Enjoy piggy! Well, looks like you still have to learn some table manners.
Look, there’s Mr. Stag. So, this is your home. A light leafy forest with big clearings and meadows. Do you live here all alone? Hello, I’m talking to you! I guess he’s more of a silent type. What do you like to eat Mr. Stag? Shoots and leaves today, and what else? All right! Everything the forest will provide: grass, herbs, chestnuts and berries too.
Quiet! What’s that rustling in the leaves? Oh, it’s a hedgehog! What a cute little thing! Is this your home over here? An estimate of leaves and moss under a pile of dry twigs. Well, that looks quite cozy! Why are you sniffing around like that? Are you looking for something? Flunk, why did you do that? You shouldn’t have frightened the poor hedgehog like this! Well little hedgehog, after that scare, you’re probably hungry, aren’t you? What’s going to land inside your little belly? You like to eat woodlice, slugs, earthworms and a spider! Ugh, this doesn’t look yummy at all. You have them, if you can catch them.
Hello, Mrs. Spider. That’s a lovely cross on your back. Your home is wherever you can spin your web. You’re not fussy. You like to live in the forest and build your web between trees and bushes but also on walls and houses. Delicious Mrs. Spider. You love to eat little flies and mosquitoes. That’s good for us in the summer. Mosquito bites are so very itchy, aren’t they?
Enjoy your food! Really nice. Everybody at the same table. Well, it’s nice to share a meal, isn’t it? Don’t you enjoy having meals with your family and friends too? Everything tastes much better when you share it, and you can have a nice talk. Well, usually at least. Bye bye! See you soon at Flunkeblunk!
