In this lesson, students develop their conversational skills by talking about how they feel. The context is set through messages using emojis. The students then identify a set of emotions before practicing the language in a variety of communicative activities. They then develop their listening skills by hearing three short descriptions of how people feel. The students then look at the language in context and focus on the use of the verb ‘to be’ before practicing the structure in a series of student-centered tasks. They then practice and personalize the language in a final productive task before finishing the lesson with a game to review the set of adjectives. There is an additional speaking task to develop the language further. (by Victoria Aitken)
