In this lesson, students talk about body parts in the context of movement. The lesson starts with a review of common body parts followed by a focus on new vocabulary. The students practice the vocabulary in a series of engaging activities before identifying a set of verbs associated with different parts of the body. The students then discuss different ways to exercise before reading a short description of aerobic and flexibility training. They then look at verbs used to talk about exercise and complete a group speaking task to practice the words. They then hear the language in context by listening to someone describing a yoga warm-up activity and following the instructions to complete the pose. The lesson finishes with the students giving and following the instructions for two different yoga poses (by Victoria Aitken).
