AUDIO 1
Tom: Hi Ben - come on in. So glad you could come!
Ben: Thanks for inviting me. What a lovely patio!
Tom: Thanks - we’ve just got some new chairs. Now... this is my sister, she’s in charge of serving the drinks. Anna, this is Ben, from work.
Ben: Nice to meet you.
Anna: And you. I’ve heard a lot about you from my brother! Can I get you a drink? There’s beer or some soft drinks.
Ben: A lemonade would be nice, thanks.
Anna: I think the food is just about ready. Why don’t you grab a plate and get some food?
Tom: Watch out - that tray’s really hot! How about some chicken?
Ben: Actually, I’m vegetarian. I guess I can just have some salad and bread.
Tom: Don’t worry - we’ve got veggie burgers! And veggie sausages!
Ben: Oh well, if you’ve got veggie burgers, I’ll have one of those! I didn’t expect there to be so many options!
Tom: There’s ketchup and stuff on the table over there. Help yourself.
Ben: Mind if I sit here?
Anna: Sure, take a seat.
Ben: Oh no! You’re all wet! Sorry - I think I was just trying to carry too many things.
Anna: Don’t worry about it! This is an old dress and I’ve already got some ketchup on it - I’m a messy eater! So, you work with my brother, tell me...
