In this lesson the students will have a chance to learn about the magic spells that are used in the world of Harry Potter. They will work with images, watch a video and learn interesting vocabulary in relation to magic. There will be chances for students to use the new expressions to share their opinions and to create a review of a Harry Potter amusement park (by Peter Clarkin).

Nate: Dude. That’s awesome.
Zach: Cool. Huh?

Zach: Wait, Nate. Don’t reveal it.
Zach: So it’s always been a dream of mine to attend Hogwarts which is why I’m in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and I’m gonna stir up a little magical mischief but Hogwarts, if you’re watching this comment below ’cause I can start next semester.
Zach: All right. First things first. If I wanna get into Hogwarts, I need to look the part. Hey, this might work. Let’s give it a try. What do you think? Nate let’s go get a wand.
Wand assistant: Welcome to All About Wand.
Nate: Oh I want this one. Let’s see if it works.
Zach: Wait, Nate. Careful.
Nate: Accio wandbox. Oh my bad.
Wand assistant: Here the wand chooses the wizard.
Zach: Right, like this, “Lumos”.
Nate: Wait, what? Oh, it’s just your phone. You had me there for a second.
Zach: Wait. Give me a moment. All right.
Zach: So, it’s Wingardium Leviosa I got it.
Nate: Oh, cool. Let me try, Wingardium Leviosa, Wingardium Leviosa.
Zach: Whoa, Whoa. You did it.
Nate: Zach!
Zach: It’s working. It’s working. I’m floating. This is so cool.
Nate: Oh, come on Zach. I really thought I had that.
Zach: Thank you. Watch this Nate, Engorgio.
Nate: Well, that didn’t work. Wait, what? How did you…
Zach: Come on. Let’s go.
Zach: How much butterbeer do you think we can buy?
Nate: So much. So much.
Zach: All right. If Gringotts bank is over there, that means- Whoa.
Nate: Oh my gosh.
Zach: Okay. That way.
Zach: The screaming yo-yo. All right. This is called the extendable ear. Whisper something.
Nate: What I say?
Zach: Nosebleed nougat, Oh, Nope.
Zach: All aboard. We’re taking the train to Hogsmeade.
Zach: Oh dude. We should ride this.
Nate: You go, I’ll just take a photo.
Zach: Will you hold this for me.
Nate: Sure.
Zach: Woo. That was awesome.
Zach: Hey, let’s go to Honeydukes.
Zach: All right. We’re gonna get some sweets.
Zach: Fudge flies. You love fudge, right?
Zach: Oh, dude they have chocolate frogs.
Nate: No way.
Zach: Here’s ear wax?
Nate: Ear wax. What- Oh, Zach, I think we have enough.
Zach: Just a few more.
Nate: You need to calm down. Chill.
Zach: All right. What next?
Nate: Let’s get some butterbeer.
Zach: Thank you.
Zach: So, Nate, what do you think? Am I getting into Hogwarts?
Nate: I think you got a pretty good shot. Dude!
Zach: Move out of the way. Move out of the way. Let’s go.
