AUDIO TRANSCRIPT 1

Presenter: Good afternoon, everyone. Today, I’m going to go through the end of year results for our sales in each region. Last year, Latin America was a very new market for us which accounts for its low start with just 50,000 sales in the first quarter. There hadn’t been much marketing at that point. However, sales climbed to double that number in the second quarter as there was more media interest in our products thanks to our excellent advertising. It was around that time that we started running TV adverts around one of their most popular shows, which really boosted sales as a consequence. So they were up to 300,000 during the 3rd quarter. That trend, fortunately, continued even more sharply into the 4th quarter with them finishing at 450,000, so a fantastic outcome for them.
Presenter: We’ve been in Europe for well over 20 years now, so they started off the first quarter with 300,000 sales which really raised hopes for the year and really contributed to our profits. Then, unfortunately, as you know, war started in the region and we see a reaction to that in the sharp decline in sales for the second quarter, at just 150,000 which is a very low result for Europe. One of the worst in recent history. There was some improvement over the next few months as the situation settled down, with the 3rd quarter and 4th quarter reaching 200,000 and 300,000 respectively, but I think the situation in that region may well have implications for next year and possibly the year after.

AUDIO TRANSCRIPT 2

Presenter: Asia had a slow start to the year, a drop from last year’s 4th quarter with just 100,000 sales. There was a lot of flooding in the area around our factory which did cause a lot of problems with transport and deliveries. However, they gained a lot of customers in the 2nd quarter and we saw their sales double as a result. The holiday season was fantastic there. We managed to expand the number of stores and we saw our sales boosted to a total of 400,000 during the 3rd quarter. Again, there were problems with the weather later on in the year which caused a large number of our staff transport difficulties and there was an increase in illness around that time. This accounts for the slight decline we see in the 4th quarter, but they finished the year with 300,000 during that period which is still a very strong performance.
