In this lesson, students develop their conversational skills in the context of preparing and cooking a simple meal. Students start by discussing the questions to engage with and personalize the topic and then they identify different cooking verbs. They complete various activities to practice the meaning, form, and pronunciation of the words. Students then hear the language in context by listening to someone describe how to cook a simple meal. They then focus on sequencing instructions before finishing with a final productive task to consolidate and use all the language from the lesson (by Vicky Aitken).
