A conhecida expressão “luz no fim do túnel” refere-se a sentir esperança de que uma situação ruim não durará para sempre; é acreditar em uma melhora para o futuro. Mas você sabe dizer “luz no fim do túnel” em Inglês?
A maioria das expressões não podem ser traduzidas literalmente, pois o idioma de Shakespeare tem a sua própria maneira de expressar as ideias. Mas como é bom quando a gente se depara de vez em quando com uma exceção...
É isso mesmo! “Luz no fim do túnel” se diz exatamente da mesma forma na Língua Inglesa: light at the end of the tunnel. Que fácil, né?
Mas para aprender a usar essa expressão em diferentes contextos, vamos aos exemplos.

• As finals approached, she felt that at last she could see the light at the end of the tunnel. (Conforme as provas finais se aproximavam, ela sentiu que finalmente podia ver a luz no fim do túnel.)
• After four years struggling as a grad student, he could see the light at the end of the tunnel. (Após quatro anos se esforçando como aluno de pós-graduação, ele podia ver a luz no fim do túnel.)
• The book suggests some ways of finding light at the end of the tunnel. (O livro sugere algumas maneiras de encontrar uma luz no fim do túnel.)
