In this lesson, students develop their conversational skills by talking about interesting outdoor places to visit. To introduce the topic, the students look at six photos from around the world and match each country to a place. They then practice the vocabulary set before developing their listening for specific information skills by hearing short descriptions of the places in the photos. The students then look at the language in context and focus on the use of there is and there are and a group of adjectives. They then practice and personalize the language in a variety of communicative and student-centered speaking activities. They finish with a competitive game to review the content of the lesson.
