Students share memories of childhood toys before reading an article about how a new range of dolls is promoting inclusion and equality for people with Down’s syndrome. The lesson includes skimming and scanning practice, vocabulary development related to social inclusion, and a look at “The more…, the more” sentences. There is a choice of a final activity: a toy design task or discussion questions (by Stephanie Hirschman).
