Students learn how to navigate a supermarket by reading signs and using a range of functional language for getting someone’s attention, asking for directions to find items, and understanding the answers. The lesson gives practice in listening and speaking and there is also a short self-evaluation checklist. An optional extension activity features a crossword to review fruit vocabulary (by Stephanie Hirschman).
