As classrooms become increasingly multicultural and multiethnic, teachers need to acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes to successfully adapt to culturally diverse classrooms, engage students and promote understanding and tolerance between cultures.

To discuss the matter, the British Council promoted the webinar “Working with intercultural communities of teachers”,  on August 26. At the meeting, new teaching realities and ways of working with diverse communities of teachers and students were discussed.

The event was held in English and featured the participation of experts Mariela Condorena Mamani (Peru) and Rodrigo Prudente (Brazil) sharing their perspectives, experiences and resources.

The meeting is part of the British Council’s New Ways of Teaching program, which promotes a series of webinars on English language teaching and learning, creating global opportunities and connections for the English teacher community.

À medida que as salas de aula se tornam cada vez mais multiculturais e multiétnicas, os professores precisam adquirir o conhecimento, as habilidades e os atributos para se adaptarem com sucesso a salas de aula culturalmente diversas, envolver os alunos e promover a compreensão e a tolerância entre as culturas.

Para discutir o assunto, o British Council promoveu o webinar “Working with intercultural communities of teachers”, em 26 de agosto. No encontro, foram discutidas as novas realidades de ensino e formas de se trabalhar com comunidades diversas de professores e de estudantes.

O evento, realizado em inglês, contou com a participação dos especialistas Mariela Condorena Mamani (Peru) e Rodrigo Prudente (Brasil) compartilhando suas perspectivas, experiências e recursos.

O encontro faz parte do programa New Ways of Teaching do British Council, que promove uma série de webinários sobre ensino e aprendizado de língua inglesa, criando oportunidades e conexões globais para a comunidade de professores de Inglês.
