AUDIO TRANSCRIPTS

Audio 1 - Dialogue 1
Alex: Hey, Sam! What did you do over the weekend?
Sam: Hi, Alex! I went camping with my family. We stayed in the mountains for three days. It was so refreshing to get away from the city.
Alex: That sounds amazing! Did you do any special activities while you were there?
Sam: Yes, we did a lot of things. We went hiking during the day, and in the evenings, we had bonfires and roasted marshmallows. It was a lot of fun.
Alex: Hiking sounds great. Did you see any wildlife during your hikes?
Sam: We saw a few deer and lots of birds. It was really cool to see animals in their natural habitat. My younger brother was thrilled.
Alex: That must have been exciting for him. What else did you do while you were camping?
Sam: We also went fishing in a nearby lake. My dad and I caught a few fish, and we cooked them for dinner. Fresh fish tastes so much better!
Alex: I bet it does. Did you have any challenges during your camping trip?
Sam: Well, it rained for a bit on the second day, which made things a little difficult. But we stayed in our tents during the rain and played board games. It was actually quite fun.
Alex: Sounds like you made the best of it. I'd love to go camping sometime. Do you have any tips for a beginner like me?
Sam: Sure! Make sure to pack enough food and water, and always be prepared for changes in the weather. Also, don’t forget a first-aid kit. Safety is important.
Alex: Thanks for the tips, Sam. Maybe I’ll plan a camping trip soon.

Audio 2 - Dialogue 2
Emily: Hi, Jenna! How was your vacation in Italy?
Jenna: Hi, Emily! It was amazing! I visited Italy for two weeks and had the best time exploring different cities.
Emily: That sounds incredible! What did you enjoy the most during your trip?
Jenna: I think my favorite part was exploring the historical sites. During my stay in Rome, I visited the Colosseum and the Vatican. The history and architecture were just breathtaking.
Emily: I can imagine! Did you take lots of photos while you were there?
Jenna: Yes, I took hundreds of pictures. Every corner of Rome has something beautiful or interesting to photograph. I'll definitely show you some later.
Emily: I'd love that! Did you have any interesting experiences during your trip?
Jenna: Oh, absolutely! While I was in Venice, I went on a gondola ride. It was so romantic and peaceful, gliding through the canals and seeing the city from the water.
Emily: That sounds wonderful! Did you try any local foods?
Jenna: Yes, I did. Italian food is so delicious! I had pasta and pizza almost every day. During my time in Florence, I tried the famous Florentine steak. It was so good!
Emily: I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Did you meet any interesting people while traveling?
Jenna: Yes, I met some wonderful people. During my train ride from Rome to Florence, I met a friendly couple from Australia. We ended up sightseeing together for a day and had a lot of fun.
Emily: It's always nice to meet new people while traveling. Did you have any challenges during your trip?
Jenna: The only challenge was the language barrier at times, but most people were very patient and helpful. Plus, I learned a few Italian phrases that really helped.
Emily: That's great! It sounds like you had a fantastic time. I hope I can visit Italy someday too.
Jenna: You definitely should, Emily. It's an experience you'll never forget.
